Take Interstate 95 south through Baltimore. Either tunnel (895 or 95) is fine. When you get to the 495 - the Washington Beltway (approximately 30 miles from Baltimore's tunnels), make sure you are in one of the right two lanes. These lanes split off to the right and become the OUTER LOOP of the Washington Beltway (495). If you are on the inner loop, turn around and get on the OUTER LOOP. Take the OUTER LOOP to Exit 34, route 355 Wisconsin Avenue/Bethesda/Rockville. This is the exit after the Connecticut Avenue exit, and about three miles from where you first see the Mormon Temple rising out of the Beltway. Get off 495 and stay in the far right lane. Follow signs to 355 South Washington/Bethesda. This lane will make a jughandle left, allowing you to get on Rockville Pike (also known as Wisconsin Avenue and 355) going SOUTH. Travel two miles south (you will pass the National Institutes of Health's main campus on your right and the Bethesda Naval Hospital on your left). Three blocks after that you will get to a more built-up area. This is Bethesda, and the hotel is half a block into Bethesda on the right. It's a tall building with a red brick driveway. Pull into the driveway. Heed our warning, please.

Take Wisconsin Avenue north out of the city. Make a u-turn at Battery Lane, just past the hotel, so that you are going south on Wisconsin Avenue. Make a right into the driveway. Heed our warning, please.

If you want to experience our beautiful, modern, clean Metro, take the YELLOW line to the Gallery Place-Chinatown station. Transfer to the RED line towards Shady Grove. Get off at the Medical Center stop. If you are ambitious, you can walk south on Rockville Pike (becomes Wisconsin Avenue) to the hotel or you can call the hotel for a complimentary pickup at the metro. The shuttle makes the trip every half hour, if they know they have passengers waiting. You can also take a taxi from the airport, which will cost about $35-$40. Heed our warning, please.

There is a parking lot under the hotel for $10/night for guests staying at the hotel overnight. Alternatively, there is a public parking lot - go through the driveway to the back of the hotel. On the other side of the hotel, turn right. Turn almost immediately left into a public parking lot with 15 hour long-term parking on the upper levels, and free parking Friday 10 p.m. through early morning Monday. |

BEWARE: There is another Holiday Inn in Bethesda further south on Wisconsin Avenue. The wedding is at the Holiday Inn SELECT next to Guapo's Restaurant, not Julian's Restaurant. The correct Holiday Inn's sign says "SELECT".
