Holiday Inn Select We will be getting married at the Holiday Inn Select in Bethesda, Maryland. The ceremony will be performed by Rabbi Stuart Warner, the principal of Allison's Hebrew School growing up (Dan snoozed through his Hebrew School experience, so his principal is lost in the mists of history). We will be getting married under the chupah used by Elissa and Jason Schwartz. If you've done your homework, you know why that's significant. We'll be having an Aufruf, Groom's Tisch, Kabbalat Panim, and B'deken. If you have no idea what the heck we're talking about, see our Frequently Asked Questions. Holiday Inn Select (why would we leave?) The festivities continue at the hotel with a yummy menu personally selected by your host and hostess for your dining pleasure. In lieu of 40 people playing "We Are The World" on the noseflute with trombone accompaniment, we have chosen to have a band. The band will be Highway Star, a group that has performed at the best weddings, bar mitzvahs, confirmations, coming-out parties, charity fundraisers, embassy functions, and bowling league lunches. They actually played at Pat Sajak's wedding! (You know, the one from Wheel Of Fortune.) There will be dancing girls, a fire-eater, two cigar rollers, a juggler on a unicycle, and a guy who claims to have the longest tongue on the East coast. Well, maybe not the cigar roller. But you'll have a good time, we promise. Actually, we don't promise it. If you aren't going to have a time, just let us know before you get there so we can step out into the street and invite those who are hungry, let them come and eat...oh wait, that's Passover. Never mind. Anyway, arrive hungry, 'cause if you ain't we can't help you. |
